Schwartzkopf will be the inaugural representa- tive for the new coastal district, a product of redistricting, which takes in the Rehoboth Beach, Long Neck and Angola areas. On election night, Schwartzkopf's family and friends anxiously awaited word from the polls at Grotto's Pizza in Rehoboth, the scene of his first campaign planning event. Within approximately an hour of the polls closing, Meoli called Schwartzkopf to concede and con- gratulate. "We have allot of mutu- al respect for one another; Mike is a friend. R is unfortunate one of us had to come out on the short end. We both have the best inter- est of the district at heart and I ex- pect to be in contact with him many times about issues in the district," said Schwartzkopf.
