36 - CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, Nov. 8 - Nov. 14, 2002 Korean War Veterans inspect Patton Members of the Korean War Veterans Association took a break from their October monthly meeting to inspect the M- 46 Patton tank at the American Legion Post 28. This was a re- union for some of the members, who manned.and fought in similar Patton tanks in Korea from 1950 to 1953. Shown (back row, l-r) are Bob Lewis, Mike Mihalo, Russ Cunningham, Ed Henriksen, Bill Noll, Charlie Farrell, Frank Emmi, Jim Baker, Ed Johnson, Bill Schultz and Bill Clun- geon. In front are Tom Woods, Ray Musciano, Ruley Banks, Walt Koopman, Bill Couch, Bob Frame and Carmen Placibo. Their next meeting will be postponed from Nov. 10 to I p.m., Sunday, Nov. 17, in the American Legion on Route 24. Submitted photo And the winner is... Bear Hugs for Babies founder, Philip Brown, right, hands over Kody the Teddy Bear and a certificate for dinner at the Roadhouse Steak Joint to raffle winner Joe Mirabella of Re- hoboth Beach. The raffle was held recently at the Roadhouse when the restaurant hosted Bear Hugs for Babies, a local charity that helps newborn babies in need. Ten percent of the restaurant's proceeds that day were also donated to the char- ity. Many people came out in support and enjoyed their meals. Anyone who wishes to thank a veteran can do so by logging on to the American Legion website at and send an electric Veterans Day greeting card. The site offers email cards representing each military service along with a service song that plays when the card is open. Each card provides space for a personal message. This free service is being provided through Nov. 12. Cards may also be sent to active duty service personnel if their military email addresses are known.
