Mr. Carmean formerly owned and operated an auto repair and sales business in Newport. Most recently he had worked part time at Bill's Bait & Tackle Shop. He enjoyed fishing and eat- ing crabs. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lenda E Carmean in 2001, and a son, Donnie Carmean. He is survived by a daughter, Diane Carmean Winiarczyk, and her husband Ben of Middletown; two stepdaughters, Laura Masarik of Milton and Shelly Lewandows- ki of Newark; a stepson, Joey Masarik of Newport: one sister Lynn Miller and her husband John of Edgewater, Fla.; two brothers, Rick Carmean and his wife Lynn and Tom Carmean and his wife Linda, all of Panama City Beach, Fla.; two grandsons, Connor and Eric Winiarczyk; a stepgrandson, Matthew Pettyjohn and a step- granddaughter. Carissa Lewandowski. Memorial services were held at Atkins-Lodge Chapel, Parsell Fu- neral Homes, Lewes, with burial private. Services were held at Kennett Presbyterian Church, with burial in Longwood Cemetery.
