The guest speaker will be Harriet Smith Windsor, Secretary of State. Windsor is a certified lay speaker of the Peninsula Con- ference and serves on the district committee on ordained ministry. Special music will be provided by Windsor and members of Conley's Chapel. Following the service, all are welcome to stay for a fellowship dinner in the church haiL St. John 2nd Baptist sets Pastor's Birthday Party All are invited to attend the Pastor's Birthday Celebration at the St. John 2nd Baptist Church in Millsboro, located on Mt. Joy Road. The event will be held at 6 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 10, and 7 p.m., Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 11-12. Evangelist Sadie Brunson will be the preacher all three nights. Grace Church to celebrate Fall Harvest Nov. 10 The Grace Church of Milton will mark Fall Harvest Sunday with a special combined morning worship service at 9:45 a.m., followed by Sunday school at 11 a.m. District superintendent Dr. Randy Corbin will be the guest speaker. The 6:30 p.m. service will be held as scheduled. MiHsboro church offers mid-week Eucharist service The Rev. David Archibald, pastor of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Millsboro and St. Martin's in the Fields in Selbyville, has begun offer- ing a first and third Wednesday Eucharist (Communion) service at St. Mark's in Millsboro. Archibald said he holds the service at noon to meet the needs of those who work during the week. The service is "low- key and informal" according to Archibald and is held in the chapel in the parish hall. St. Mark's is located in downtown Millsboro. For more information, call Archibald at 436-1914. Barratt's Chapel to celebrate anniversary service The 218th anniversary service of Barratt's Chapel will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 10. Located near Frederica Barratt's is one of the great historic sites of the United Methodist Church. This year's service will give special recognition to the approximately 150 retired preachers of the Peninsula-Delaware United Methodist Con- ference. The Rev. William Hemphill Jr. will be this year's preacher. Services are held the second Sunday of each November to commem- orate the importance of the chapel's place in church history. Barratt's is the oldest building constructed by a Methodist Society in America for Methodist use. The public is invited to attend the service.
