NOTICES NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The following Ordinance has been proposed at the regular meeting of the Sussex County Council on October 29, 2002: AN ORDINANCE ADOPT- ING THE 2002 UPDATE OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN FOR SUSSEX COUNTY AND REPEAL- ING THE 1997 COMPRE- HENSIVE PLAN. Copies of the above Ordinance are available in the Office of the Clerk of the Sussex County Council, County Administrative Office Building, Georgetown, Delaware, A public hearing thereon will be held in the County Council Chambers, Sussex County Administrative Office Building, Georgetown, Delaware, on December 3, 2002, at 6:00 PM or as soon thereafter as may be heard. The protest must be filed with the Alcoholic Beverage Control A RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE ZONING CODE OF THE CITY OF LEWES TO ADD FIRE STATIONS AS A PERMITTED USE IN THE CR-2 COMMERCIAL RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT AND TO INCLUDE FIRE DEPARTMENTS FOR PERMITTED SIGN PLACEMENT AND PROVIDING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING THEREON. WHEREAS, the Lewes Fire Department has requested the City Council to consider adding fire departments to the CR-2 Commercial District as a permitted use in order to remove its current nonconforming status; and WHEREAS, the Lewes Fire Department has asked that it be included with institutions of similar nature who are currently permitted sign placement on their property; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council are interested in considering such addition; and WHEREAS, 22 Delaware Code. Section 304, provides that any amendment to any Zoning Ordinance and Zoning Map shell be after a public hearing following fifteen (15) day's notice by publication in an official paper or a paper of general circulation within a municipality. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED ttlat a public hearing shall be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2002, at 7:00 PM, at City Hall, E. Third Street, Lewes, Delaware, for the purpose of considering an amendment to the City's Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 197, as follows: Item 1: Section 197-23, CR-Commerclal RssidenUal District, Subsection B, "Principal Permitted Uses", be and is hereby amended by adding a new subsection to read: (8) Fire Stations. Item 2: Section 197-23, OR-Commercial Residential District, Subsection B, =Principal Permitted Uses", be and is hereby amended by changing the subsection designated "(8)" and redesignating it as "(9)'.
