Lewes church members make mission trip Six members of Lewes Presbyterian Church recently :returned from a week at the GouldFarm in Monterey, Mass. The Gould Farm, currently celebrating :; its 85th anniversary, provides residen- tial care to adults with mental illness. The farm is a self-sufficient communi- ty, located on 600 acres in the Berk- shire Hills; its activities are designed to prepare guests for life on their own. Volunteer groups; such as the one from Lewes Presbyterian Church, go to the farm to work along with the guests as role models and give them ,contact with people from all walks of life so that they are exposed to more than just the staff members. The Lewes Presbyterian Church group was the first "intergenera- tional" (teenage to retired) group of volunteers to visit the Gould Farm and the staff was delighted at how well they all worked together as well as how they all related to and worked with the guests. Even though it was a week of hard farm work, all are anxious to return for a week again next year.
