Ash's Elves Christmas Party set Dec. 8 Doors wig open at 12"30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 8, at American Le- gion Post 2 in Dover for the Ash's Elves Christmas Party. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. This is an all-day event, with six bands, D], food, 50/50, door prizes and several different raf- ties. The event will raise money and take donations of toys, cloth- ing and other needed items for families that are stuck in safe houses during the holidays. Sug- gested donations include Wal- mart gift cards, twin-size sheets, tWin-size blankets, bed pillows, diapers and pull-ups, baby wipes, bath towels, washcloths, paja- mas, pocket calendars, planners and journals. Furniture dona- tions are needed for transitional housing. One hundred percent of dona- tions go to People's Place SAFE program. SAFE is a domestic vio- lence protection program that offers safe housing for families torn apart by abuse. The SAFE program helps provide families with short-term housing, cloth- ing, and counseling.
