Epworth Christian School participates in Spiritual Emphasis Week Students from the ECS Servant Leadership Academy participated in a four-day event called 2 Represent, that began Nov. 13 and challenged them in their faith and the leadership of their generation. The event was kicked off with a message from Youth Pastor Rob Brown of Central Worship Center (CWC) sharing with the young people about servant leadership. Living a life of purpose was the message brought by Delaware Youth for Christ Executive Director Seth Baker, who chal- lenged students not to keep their faith to themselves as he related in a personal story it could be the difference between life and death for another person. With much to think about, stu- dents began Tuesday with a mes- sage on rebellion from Pastor Tim Dukes, senior pastor of CWC - a topic all too familiar to most young people. Dukes also shared a personal story about where the road of rebellion can lead. Eleven young people made a recommitment to their walk with Christ as well as a life of submis- sion to authority - God's.and their parents. Boys and girls broke up into groups on Tuesday afternoon to talk about some of the chal- lenges they are facing. The girls were led by Robyn Sturgeon of Shiloh House of Hope and Teen Believers Inc. and the boys by Coach Greg, ECS' athletic direc- tor. Several of the students joined iri an afterscho01 activity at Seaford Bowling Lanes. On Wednesday, the students welcomed Ferrill Galloway of Bound4Life Ministries, headquar- tered in North Carolina. Galloway shared several stories of how God had showed Himself real in his life and how He wanted to do that same thing for each of them. The week ended with a joint chapel service on Thursday with partner school Delmarva Christian High School. Praise and worship was led by DCHS' Praise Team and Galloway led the serv- ice with a message on commit- ment.
