'Holiday Celebration!' opens at Milton Theatre Dec. 2-3 A Milton Holiday Celebration! opens at the Milton Theatre this weekend, Dec. 2 and 3, and will continue on Dec. 15, 16 and 17. Friday and Saturday shows start at 7 p.m. and Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 and $12 for seniors (55 and older) and stu- dents (under 18) in advance, and $18 and $15 for seniors and stu- dents at the door. This holiday celebration show is a special production staged by the Milton Theatre Company and is directed by Mary Boucher of Millsboro and produced by Suzette Chambers Of Milton. Christmas chorals, solos and duets, sing-a-long caroling, chil- dren's Nativity scene, a call for Peace on Earth, dramatic read- ings, a candlelight finale, and even a special visit from Santa Claus will ring in the holidays for Milton in elegant style. Rebecca Wineinger will direct the musical elements in the show, which boasts a talented cast that spans several generations. The historic Milton Theatre is the showcase for this special holi- day celebration and it will be dec- orated for the season, thanks to Bet Orr and Marianne Lester of Milton. This year, the theatre will also be a Toys for Tots drop-off loca- tion. Visitors are encouraged to bring an unwrapped to the shows on Dec. 2 and 3, and help a child celebrate the holidays with a spe- cial gift. Seatifig is limited. Call 684- 3400 for reservations. Tickets on sale Dec. 2 for Elks New Year's Eve The Elks Lodge 2540 will host a New Year's Eve party starting with cocktails at 6:30 p.m, followed by dinner from 7:30 to 9 p.m. and danc- ing with the Honeycombs until 12:30 a.m. The cost is $45 per person, which includes a prime rib dinner with one free drink and a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets will be on sale at noon, Saturday, Dec. 4, at the lodge, locat- ed on Route 23 in Lewes. For more information, call 645-7016.
