Cape Gazette Gallery One in Ocean View's latest exhibit, Nostalgia, will be on display Monday, Dec. 5, through Saturday, Dec. 31. In this show each of the 16 local .artists that exhibit at Gallery One are recalling mixed feelings .of an event, person or place. "Modet T" is a masterfully ren- dering in watercolor by Ann Hanna. This car was restored by one of Hanna's friends who often chauffeured her to school in this showy machinery. "50 Woodland Ave.," an oil by Jeanne Mueller, shows a farm architecture that was popular in the late 19th cen- tury that has been vanishing from the American landscape. Mueller has painted this Ocean View residence as it is today, lov- ingly cared for with a large pro- tected tree and lush yard. "Sun Porch" by Laura Hick= man is definitely a celebration of bygone times. Hi&man used an old photo of the Henlopen Hotel as a reference, then developing her pastel in sepia tones. On the porch Hi&man has many figures dressed in the clothing of the early part of the 20th century re- laxing on wicker furniture and windows widely open to the ocean breezes.
