CAPE GAzE'rrE, Friday, December 3 - December 9, 1999 - 73 Christmas Visions arrive in Millsboro with Dec. 4 parade Shoppers and spectators will line the streets of Millsboro Sat- urday, Dec. 4, to enjoy the Christ- mas Visions '99 Parade, which gets underway at 10 a.m. The pa- rade lineup will begin at 8 a.m. at Allfirst Financial Center, Mitchell Street. The raindate is Sunday, Dec. 5. The parade will offer trophies in 14 competitive categories, and welcomes all types of entries from marching bands to commer- cial and noncommercial floats, decorated vehicles, and youth and adult marchers. Diamond Dance presents 'Nutcracker' Dec. 18 The Diamond Dance Company will premiere its first holiday pro- duction of The Nutcracker at 7:30 p.m., Dec. 18, at Milford Senior High School. Tickets can be pur- chased at the door or at the fol- lowing locations: A Dance Class and Jor-Lin Charter in Milford; Steaming Bean in Dover; and the Drum Pad in Felton. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. For tickets and in- formation,'cali 422-2633. DDOA grant information meeting set for Dec. 8 Organizations and individuals interested in applying for Delaware Division of the Arts (DDOA) grants and fellowships for fiscal year 2001 are invited to attend an informational session for applications. Oul E. 1976 FIRST & BALTIMORE AVE. REHOBOTH BEACH For the first time, the Chamber has teamed with CAT Country Radio to participate in the sta- tion's annual Feed-A-Friend holi- day food drive. Visitors and participants in the parade and at Santa's Pak Shop- ping Spree are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items to support the drive. Collection bins will be located at Allfirst and the Millsboro Civic Center, Wilson Highway and Mitchell Street. The donations will go to local food banks run by the Millsboro Seventh Day Adventist Church and the Dagsboro Church of God. CAT Country radio personality Brian K. Hall will be the parade's emcee and will be stationed at the reviewing stand located on Main Street. The Santa's Pak Shopping Spree wili be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Civic Center. It is cosponsored by the Indian River Senior Center, whose members will serve a homemade soup, hot dog and hamburger lunch that day. Vendors will offer their displays of handcrafted and other unique gifts, plus lots of baked goods, candies and holiday treats. Lots of merchandise will be priced at under $10 so kids can shop too. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand for photographs. Vendor applications are avail- able for indoor and outdoor spaces, but are filling quickly. To secure one, call the Chamber of. flee.
