In the Modern Maturity Center ball- room in Dover, the agency dedi- cated the evening to its success- ful partnerships with homeless shelters, after-school programs and employment training pro- granls. Massiah, a Coverdale Cross- roads native who holds a doctor- ate in marketing, thanked First State for supporting her academ- ic journey from Woodbridge -High School to the University of Central Florida in Orlando, where she is now a marketing professor. In seventh grade, Massiah was chosen for the Mi- nority Engineering Regional In- centive Training program, which offers educational opportunities for students and encourages in- volvement in community serv- ice.
