Cape Gazette Celebrating the 90th anniver- sary of the League of Women Voters, the state organization honored three Delawareans with its first annual Flame of Democ- racy Awards at a recent event in Dover. Local civic activist Mable Granke was selected for the award by the League of Women VoterS (LWV) of Sussex County. From her work with the Hugh O'Brien Youth Leadership Seminar, the Delaware State Parks . and Recreation Commission, the Cape Hen- lopen State Park Master Mable 6ranke Plan Steering Committee, and the West Rehoboth Land Trust of which she is a founding board member, to her ongoing involvement in land use and en- vironmental issues through the Citizens Coalitiori, Granke is a model of constructive citizen ac- tivism.
