CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, Dec. 6 - Dec. 12, 2002 - 47 At right, Lynn Iorri, front, Fran Amitrano and Nancy Durney spy several auc- tioned items to bid on. Expe- rienced buyers revealed the trick is to periodically check back to see if someone has placed a higher bid. Barbara Hurley-Brown and Chris Corrozi of Delaware Bev- erage graciously served two new Beaujolais at the tasting. Both a French and California Beaujolais were sampled. Auctioneer William "Butch" Emmert sets a steady pace in soliciting high bids during the live auction. A final tally on the amount raised was not available at press time and will be includ- ed in next week's edition. Sponsors of the event includ- ed Coldwell Banker, J. A. Moore Inc., Jack Lingo Real- tor, Prudential Gallo Real- tors, Fuqua & Yori, Delaware National Bank, Architectural Hardware, Happy Harry's and Sergovic & Ellis.
