24 - CAPE GAZETI, Friday, December 11 - December 17, 1998 Tflsh Vernon photo Rehoboth Kiwanis and Key clubs complete nativity scene Members of the Cape Henlopen High School Key Club and Rehoboth Beach Kiwanis Club completed the nativity scene on the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand Saturday morning, Dec. 5. Students have been refurbishing the various figures as a school project with art teacher Con- hie Miller, with the club under the supervision of co-advisors Susanne Comorat and Gloria Hardesty. They also painted the mgel, Jesus and Joseph figures in place on the island closest to the Bandstand. Among those on hand to erect the creche this year are (group at left, l-r) Bud Vogt, Emily Martin, Tony Perrello, Kanchan Kurani, Jim Addison, Nicole Gipko, Rachel Melvuney, and Jamie Pratt; (kneeling, l-r) AI Gardenhour and Bill Nelson; (group at right, l-r) Jack Eliason, Ashley Hardesty, Jerry Spellman, George Vest, Art Pressl, Joe Gardner and Russ Palmer. At left, Cape Henlopen Key Club member Emily Martin of Rehobeth Beach strikes a pose with the Blessed Virgin Mary before the figures were placed on the Bandstand. Wotring to host church tour to Israel Bob Wotring, lay leader of Bethel Uniied Methodist Church in Lewes and operator of Five Pointe Tours, is serving as tour host for a trip to Is- rael in conjunction With Church Tours Incorporated. Called "Adventure In The Holy Land," the 10-day tour is scheduled to leave New York City on March 15, 1999, at a cost of $1,935 per perspn. The tour, being of- fered to everyone, will include stops at many of the most important his- torical sites in Israel.
