DEBBIE’S FUND DONATES TO SUSSEX ANIMAL RESCUE GROUP Harry K Foundation thanks Beebe for support The Harry K Foundation would like to thank Beebe Healthcare for its support of the 2017 Harry K Foundation Annual Christmas Ball. Beebe Healthcare, founded in 1916, is a not-for-profit community healthcare system governed by a volunteer board of trustees. Beebe has become the premier healthcare facility in Sussex County, serving a thriving beach and vacation resort area and a growing year-round population. Beebe celebrated its 100th Anniversary in 2016 The Harry K Foundation, established by Harry Keswani, has vowed to raise money and donate 100 percent of these proceeds to help alleviate the problem of food insecurity in the state of Delaware. The funds raised by the Harry K Founda- tion will be dispersed through the Delaware Food Bank to support School Backpack Programs, as well as established and in insti- tuting school pantries throughout Delaware. SUBMITTED PHOTO Holiday fun day set at Lewes library Dec. 16 The Lewes Public Library will be hosting a full day of holi- day fun Saturday, Dec. 16. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Shoreline Garden Railroad Club will be featuring a winter train display in the Children’s storytime room. At 10:30 a.m., a holiday-themed fam- ily story time is open to children of all ages. Car seat checks with Troop 7 will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Gingerbread house making will take place from 2:30 to 4 p.m. Families must sign up to reserve a space so that enough houses can be purchased. To sign up, call 302-645- 2733. For teen movie night, the library will be showing Gremlins (1984) from 6 to 8 p.m. for all students 12 and older. Pizza and snacks will be served. The Lewes library is also a Toys for Tots drop-off location for donations of unwrapped toys.
