Bring in the New't'ear at the Rose & Crown in Lewes Situated on Lewes's pictulresque Second Street, the Rose & Crown is a popuhar gathering spot for a drink or a fine meal. Opened over a decade ago in the Walsh Building, the Rose & Crown is also the site for local live entertainment and the newly opened cigar lounge. With the addition of the cigar lounge, the Rose & Crown is the ideal place to enjoy a fine cigar while sipping a cognac or a cordial.. The spacious lounge contains dining tables, a loumge area with a bar, a shuffleboard table and an impressive handmade cig- ar inventory. Now is the prime time to rmake plans to celebrate your New Year's Eve at the Rtose & Crown. Be sure to call early for reservations, tthough. The early seating is $55 per couple plus gratuity, while the late seating is $75 Ixer couple plus gratuity. The late seating includes parrty favors and a cham- pagne toast at midnight. The prix-fixe dinner includes a choice of Shrimp Milano, champagne truffle pat6, Oysters Rocke- feller, sesame chicken, lobster and crab bisque or butternut squash soup as an appetizer. Entr6e choic- es include beef tenderloin, stuffed veal chop Saltim- bocca, lobster fettucini, roasted quail and grilled swordfish loin. Dinner also includes a mixed green salad. Don't forget to save room for dessert, which includes selections such as black-bottom caramel cheesecake with warm caramel sauce, frozen choco- ]late-raspberry mousse bombe: with a warm ganache, apple dumpling with date butter served with a warm rum sauce, raspberry torte with white chocolate, raspberry sherbert and raspberry mousse layers. Live music will be provided by local favorites the Funsters at 10 p.m., and there'll be a ball drop at midnight. Dinner specials at the Rose & Crown are featured regularly, and include inexpensive entr6es Monday through Friday. On Monday nights, the restaurant features surf and turf for only $10.95. On Tuesdays, diners can enjoy a Queen cut of prime rib for $11.95. Wednesdays are still the Rose & Crown's famous Half-Price Burger Nights. Thursdays are Oyster Night, when diners can choose either the oyster combo (Oysters Rockefeller, Oysters Casino and Oysters Imperial) or the large fried oyster platter for only $11.95. The Rose & Crown features entertainmen{ almost every night of the week. On Wednesday nights, enjoy the sounds of DJ EROCK, while Thursday's feature is open mike night with 4-Way Street. Fri- day night showcases karaoke with Starry Nite and Saturday's highlight is live bands (a different act each week).
