SBA launches live webchat on Spanish language site The U.S. Small Business Ad- ministration announced recently it is launching a live web chat feature on its Spanish language website, Kicking off the first chat will be SBA Administrator Hector V. Barreto at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 8. "We have seen how the inter- net is an effective medium for making our resources available to the public," said Barreto. "This new feature of our Spanish lan- guage online resources will per- mit the public to interact with us and to ask questions on a variety of small business topics." Live web chats are scheduled to take place on a monthly basis. After Barreto's kickoff session, a series of special guests will be in- vited to discuss topics such as steps to starting a small business, how to finance a small business, how to improve your credit, per- sonal finance issues and many others. Barreto will answer ques- tions for approximately 45 min- utes on how to start a small busi- ness and the SBA programs and services offered to the small busi- ness community.
