CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, Dec. 19 - Dec. 25, 2003 - 107 Erlk Sumption photo Mariner Middle has poetry contest winners Over 140 students at Milton Mariner Middle School wrote poems about John Milton for the Annual Milton Poetry Festival and during the event, Dec. 12, 10 students were honored with prizes. Poetry celebration organizor Jamie Brown celebrated the festi- val and thanked the attendees from far-off places. He said he considered the festival a successs and wished all the poets the best of luck in the future. "I already considering next year," Brown said. "Isn't it unbe- lievable." - The event concluded with the Dogfish Head Poetry prize, which was awarded to James Keegan for his work, entitled "Of Fathers and Sons."
