Lockhard and Dr. David Robinson were elected to the board of direc- tor of Beebe Medical Center, it was announced by Joseph Hud- son, chairman of the board. "Beebe Medical Center recog- nizes the importance of physi- ciaris collaboration and support as the board of directors guides our healthcare organization through the many challenges ahead," Hud- son said. "A board of directors consisting of dedicated community chal- lenges members and local physi- cians will provide the necessary perspective and guidance to en- sure Beebe Medical Center re- mains focused on meeting the healthcare needs of those who live, work and visit in Sussex County." Lockard, a Lewes radio!ogist since September 1986, is associat- ed with Southern Delaware Imag- ing Inc. He recently completed a two-year term on the hospital's board of directors as president of the hospital's medical/dental staff. Lockard is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University and Jefferson Medical College in Pennsylvania. He completed an internship at St. Francis General Hospital in Pittsburgh, and a resi- dency in radiology at the Medical Center of Delaware, now known as Christiana Care Health System. Prior to undertaking his residency, Lockard was clinical director of the Wind River Service Unit of In- dian Health Services in Fort Washakie, Wyoming. Robinson has been practicing ophthalmology in Lewes since June 1987. He is associated with the Laser Centre and Annabelle make wishes come true The Centre at Salisbury has hosted a variety of events this hol- iday season to celebrate the story of "Annabelle's Wish," the tale of a lovable calf named Annabelle, whose unselfish giving remains a natural tie-in with the goals of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. A por- tion of the proceeds from these events will benefit the Make-A- Wish Foundation of the Mid-At- lantic Inc. a nonprofit organiza- tion that fulfills the wishes of area children suffering from life- threatening illnesses. The Make-A-Wish Foundation will receive all the coins collected in the Centre at Salisbury's foun- tains. Customers can also show their support of the foundation by purchasing anAnnabelle's Wish ornament to help decorate the Centre's holiday tree. "Mrs. Kendall is very well known and respected in the physical therapy profession, so it was a real privilege to have her lecture here," said Jeff Konin, an instructor in the Physi- cal Therapist Assistant (PTA) program at Del Tech. Kendall has both hospital and private practice experience and has worked as a teacher, lecturer, supervisor and consul- rant in physical therapy.
