Amtrak Packages Passport Photos  Lewes Cub Scouts celebrate holiday with awards ceremony Cub Scouts Pack 1 celebrates scouting achievements during a pack meeting on Thursday, Dec. 18. Following the awards presentations to the Tigers, Webelos I, Webelos II, Wolves and Bears, the scouts held a Christmas party. Long Neck Lions offer scholarships The Long Neck Lions Club members will be offering a $500 scholarship to a deserving senior from Sussex Central High School in the spring of 1998. The Lions have been working on projects to increase the activity budget. The money raised from these projects is used to support the community in many ways. This year, the club decided to add the scholarship to its list, and hopes to increase the funding in the future. Some of the projects this year include the bi-annual craft show and flea market, car raffle, golf tournament and more. The Long Neck Lions are al- ways interested in increasing membership. Anyone interested in learning more about the club is asked to call Lion Court Black at 945-5295. Visitors are also wel- come at club meetings, which take place at the Crab Barn Restaurant on Long Neck Road, on the first and third Tuesday of the month, at 6:30 p.m. Membership night will be held on Jan. 20, and anyone age 18 or over is invited. Meals on Wheels receives Senior Beach Day funds Jim Thornton, director of Meals on Wheels, Delaware, Inc., receives a check for $9,429.33, representing the proceeds of Beach Day '97, from Arlene Littleton, executive director of CHEER, Inc.
