Irish Eyes are smiling in Relroboth Beach for New Year's Eve ceh:bration Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant on Wilmington Avenue in Rehoboth Beach has been a mainstay of the Cape Region for the past 12 years, and propri- etors Jack and Barbara Royal will re-open the estab- lishment Friday, Dec. 26, after a short break in the winter season. Celebrate New Year's Eve in a festive fashion at Irish Eyes Pub & Restaurant in Rehoboth Beach. Plenty of good times are in store for the evening's merriment, including a special menu and live enter- tainment by Bang Wallace. Call 645-6888 now to make reservations. Irish Eyes will remain open after the holiday, each day throUgh Sunday, Jan. 4. A wide variety of tastes can be easily accommo- dated by the establishment's diverse menu. Appetizers range from simple dishes such as a fresh vegetable, fruit and cheese plate or potato skins to more exotic conch fritters and fried cala- marl. "We have a diverse clientele - it's very rewarding to see three or four generations gathered together at a table, as well as the singles and couples that we scrvc. "Especially when we have live Irish music - it seems to bridge any generation gap," noted Royal. The family-oriented atmosphere features moder- ate prices, a children's menu, high chairs and boost- er seats, he added. The steamed seafood selection is quite ample, and the extensive sandwich menu makes decisions difficult. Sandwich selections you'll have to choose from include the Mrs. O'Leary's Cow (roast beef, ham, turkey, Swiss and cheddar cheeses on pumpernickel with bacon, lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, onion and mayonnaise) and The Irish Eyes (sliced sirloin steak saut6ed with onions and mushrooms in butter with mozzarella cheese and special seasonings on a Kaiser roll). Chargrilled steaks, fish and 8-ounce, handmade burgers are also premium choices, as well as their "no filler thriller" crab cakes and homemade shrimp and chicken salads which receive rave reviews. Sticking close to its Irish roots, corned beef and cabbage and Irish chowder are always available and Harp and Guinness are both available on tap. Surfing the World Wide Web?
