20 - CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, January 10 - January 16, 1997 Mary Caroline Lee weds Richard Henry Cross Jr. Mary Caroline Lee and Richard Henry Cross, Jr. were married Oct. 5, 1996 in Epworth United Methodist Church, Rehoboth Beach in a ceremony performed by Rev. Jonathan E. Baker and Rev. David Baker. The bride is the daughter of Mary McGrew Lee and Judge William Swain Lee, both of Re- hoboth Beach. Her grandparents are Maxine McGrew and the late Frank C. McGrew, formerly of Wilmington; and the late Dr. and Mrs. Walter Hutchison Lee, of Middletown. Mr. Cross is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard H. Cross of Boynton Beach, Fla. Virginia Hutchison Lee served as her sister's maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Michele Bres- nick of Reston, Va.; Jill Hesse- nauer of Towson, Md.; Sabrina Hill of Rehoboth Beach; Donna Smith of Los Gatos, Calif.; and Wendy Walter of Louisville, Ky. Mr. Cross' best man was Joseph D. Burns of Virginia Beach, Va. The ushers were Richard P. Bondi of Williamsburg, Va.; Michael Cross, of Minneapolis, Minn,; James Matheson of Fallon, Nev.; and William Swain Lee, Jr. and John Edwin Berry Lee, both of Rehoboth Beach. Readings were delivered by Pe- ter Schiron of Breckenridge, Col.; Patricia Brainard of San Diego, Calif.; and Erin Presta of St. Au- gustine, Fla. Erin Noonan of New Castle and Ann Marie Von Shipp- man of Knoxville, Tenn. attended the guest book. Mrs. Cross graduated from Cape Henlopen High School, the • MR. AND MRS. RICHARD H. CROSS JR. .... the bride is the former Miss Mary Caroline Lee. University of Delaware and William and Mary School of Law. Mr. Cross is a graduate of State University of New York at Bing- hamton and William and Mary School of Law. He also served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy dur- ing the Persian Gulf War. Both Mr. and Mrs. Cross are law clerks with the Superior Court of Delaware. Following a wedding trip to Charleston, S.C., the couple is liv- ing in Wilmington.
