He also was recognized for his efforts in community serv- ice projects, especially a series of fundraisers to assist cerebral palsy victim Amanda Burgess. Shannahan earns Level III license Chesapeake Utilities Corpora- tion, parent company of Sharp Water located in Salisbury, Md., recently announced that D.J. Shannahan Jr., vice president of Sharp Water, has earned his Level III water treatment plant opera- tor's license. With this license, Shannahan can operate any water plant in the state of Maryland that utilizes chlorination, pH control, fluorida- tion, filtration and iron removal processes, which include ion ex- change or contact oxidation.
