32 - CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, April 14 &apos; April 20, 2000 Houses of Worship Church Notes Long Neck Church sets Holy Week schedule Long Neck United Methodist Church has announced its schedule for Holy Week and Easter. Maundy Thursday, April 20, services will be held at 7:30 p.m., with the 24-hour Good Friday Prayer Vigil beginning at midnight April 21. A Good Friday Community Service, with Jesus's Seven Last Words, will be held at 7 p.m., at Grace United Methodist Church in Millsboro. An Easter Sunrise service is set for 6 a.m. at Massey's Landing and 8 and 11 a.m., in the church sanctuary. The Chanel Choir will sing an Easter Cantata at both services. All Saints' Parish sets Holy Week services All Saints' Episcopal Parish will hold Holy Week services begimling at 9:30 a.m., Palm Sunday, April 16, with a service at St. George's Chapel on Beaver Dam Road, Angola. A special Lenten meditation will be held there as well at noon, Wednesday, April 19. A Maundy Thursday service will take place at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 20, at All Saints' Church, 18 Olive Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, with a Good Friday liturgy there at noon on April 21. On Easter Sunday, April 23, services will take place at 8 and 9:30 a.m., at St. George's Chapel, and at 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m., at All Saints' Church, where there will be music at the 9:30 and 11 a.m. services. For details, call 227-7202. Lewes Presbyterian sets Holy Week services Lewes Presbyterian Church has announced Palm Sunday and Easter Week services. Services will be at 8:30 and 11 a.m., Palm Sunday, April 16, with guest speaker Dennis Karp of Chosen People Ministries. A Maundy Thursday, April 20, service will be at 7:30 p.m., when young adults will present parables in the Godspell style, with a noon, Good Friday, April 21, Tenebrae Service with anthems, hymns and chime music. Easter Sunday services will be at 8:30 and 11 a.m., with the Easter Cantata, "God So Loves the World," by Lloyd Larson. The church is located at 133 Kings Highway. For details, call 645-5345. Lutheran Church sets Holy Week services The Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 7 Bay Vista Road, Rehoboth, will hold the following Holy Week services: Palm Sunday, April 16, 8:15 a.m. Holy Communion and Palm Procession; 11 a.m., Palm Pro- cession only. Maundy Thursday, April 20, noon Service of Holy Com- munity and 7:30 p.m. Service of Holy Communion, with individual ab- solution and application ofoil and stripping of the altar. On Good Fri- day there will be a noon service of Meditation and Song, and a 7:30 p.m., Tenebrae Service. On Easter Sunday, services are 8:15 and 11 a.m., with Holy Communion and special music. St. Peter's sets Holy Week services St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Second and Market streets, Lewes, will hold Palm Sunday Holy Eucharist services at 8 and 10 a.m., with Labyrinth Walk available from 2 to 4 p.m. Stations of the Cross will be at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 19, with Stripping of the Altar at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 20 and a Vigil in the Garden from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. a noon and 7:30 p.m. Good Friday Liturgy will be April 21, with 10 a.m. Holy Baptism on April 22.
