Nursing students earn scholarships
Ten Beebe School of Nursing students were
recently awarded this year's Louise Jarmon
Hopkinson scholarship. Louise Jarmon Hop-
kinson was a 1932 graduate of Beebe School
of Nursing. She served in the Army Nurse
Corps and as a private-duty nurse at Beebe
Hospital for many years. A generous bequest
from Hopkinson's estate provides a scholar-
ship award for the spring semester to Beebe
School of Nursing students who plan to work
at Beebe Medical Center, who have demon-
strated strong academic performance and
who have financial need.
Beebe Medical Center Foundation manages
and facilitates awarding the scholarship.
Nine of this year's recipients are seniors who
plan to seek employment at Beebe Medical
