We are a non-profit business 2. We are member owned, not stockholder owned. 3. Our Board of Directors are volunteers, not paid directors, and are elected by the members, not appointed. 4. We can only make loans to our members, which puts all the monies back into the community. 5. The interest we earn on our loans is paid back to our owners (members) in dividends, not large sums to stockholders and small amounts to the savers. 6. Our fees are minimal compared to other financial institutions.
