Rehoboth Film Society to discuss 'Mystery Train' April 20
The Rehoboth Beach Film So-
ciety will screen the 1989 comedy
crime caper "Mystery Train," at 7
p.m., Thursday, April 20.
"Mystery Train," written and
directed by indie film maker Jim
Jarmusch ("Stranger than Par-
adise," "Down By Law," and cur-
rently in theaters, "Ghost Dogs:
the Way of the Samurai"), stars
Masatosa Nagashi ("Beautiful
Sunday" and "Flirt") and Youkih
Kudo ("Heaven's Burning" and
"Snow Falling on Cedars"):
With additional performances
by "Screamin's'" Jay Hawkins,
Steven Buscemi, Nicoletta Brasci
and voice-over by Tom Waits,
"Mystery Train" exemplifies the
quirky slice-of-life formula that
Jarmusch's fans have come to
know and love. The monthly film
pick of board member and society
treasurer Mariah Calagione,
"MysterY Train" will be screened
and discussed. The film is rated R
and there are some subtitles.
The Rehoboth Beach Film So-
ciety meets every third Thursday
of the month and is open to the
public.
