CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, April 14 - April 20, 2000 ,- 73 Possums open 'Man of La Mancha' April 29 Possum Point Players will pre- miere a dilaner theater at Possum Hall in Georgetown for the Satur- day, April 29 performance of the spring musical, "Man of La Man- cha." The meal will be prepared by Bonnie Reeves, Mary Ann Hook and Louise Hartzell, assisted by their husbands Lou, AI and Jim, respectively. This is the same group that prepared the meals that became so popular when the Pos- sums held the annual January din- ner theater in Millsboro for sever- al years. This will be the first time that the players will prepare an entire meal in the newly renovated kitchen facilities in Possum Hall. "A significant portion of the cost of renovation went into upgrad- ing and modernizing our kitchen and we are looking forward to trying it out," said Jim Hartzell, who is also producing the show. "I think it's going to be quite a hit," said Louise Hartzell, "and I'm looking forward to working with Mary Ann and Bonnie again." "Even though it's a great deal of work, we're serving fewer meals and we always have fun doing it anyway," Mary Ann Hook said. Bonnie Reeves noted that many people were disappointed when the group left Millsboro and stopped doing the cooking them- selves. "I hope they all get the word and decide to attend," she said. Tickets for the dinner theater are $30 per person. The main en- tree will be chicken in phyla dough, a popular dish from the Millsboro days. Tickets for the musical only are $13, with the customary $2 dis- count on Sunday matinees for stu- dents and senior citizens. Season ticket holders who would like to attend the dinner theater will be charged an additional $17, since the dinner theater is not part of the original season. The show will open at 8 p.m., Friday, April 28. On April 29, the doors will open at 6 p.m., with dinner served at 7 p.m. and the show immediately following. The show will also be per- formed at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 30. The closing weekend will be May 5-7.
