Dover Downs Slots offers 70s Soul Jam
It is a unique show that has
been touring and delighting audi-

legendary groups from the era of
seventies soul are coming to the

Stylistics first hit the charts in
1971 with their top-ten single,
You're A Big Girl Now. The Styl-

like the Flamingos and the Dells.
The group sang on different labels
and with different producers with
varying success. It was not until
1971 that the Chi-Lites struck
gold. That year, they released the
album For God's Sake, Give
More Power To The People; the
title track became their first top-
40 pop hit. At the year's end, the
Chi-Lites were on the charts with
two more songs, Have You Seen
Her, and the number one hit, Oh,
Girl. Like the Chi-Lites, the Del-
fonics caught the tide of R&B
music in the early 1960s. Their
first single, He Don't Really Love
