Members of the Rehoboth
Beach Planning Commission are
so impressed by the renovation of
the old Amoco gas station at 319
Rehoboth Avenue, that they voted
to send a letter to the proprietor of
the new shop there, compliment-
ing Anne Moore Bateman on her
successful effort to greatly im-
prove the appearance of the busi-
ness district.
Once the entire complex is fin-
ished later this year with the
building of a new RE/MAX Real-
ty Group office adjacent to Anne
Bateman, Ltd., the transformation
will be complete. In ihe mean-
time, the distinctive blue canvas
awnings are sure to lure customers
in search of unique and interesting

struction.
Bateman, previously an interior
designer with Holladay Corp. in
Washington, D.C., terms her of-
ferings as "a little bit of every-
thing," and those in search of in-

wedding, baby shower or house-
warming need look no further, no
matter what price range the cus-
tomer has in mind.
For those seeking heirloom an-
tiques for themselves or as a trea-
sured gift, Bateman's husband,
Tjark, just returned from Massa-
chusetts with a fine selection of
