Comer Cupboard opens for season
The Corner Cupboard in Rehoboth Beach, 'qne Inn That
Was In Before Inns Were In", was definitely the "in" place to
be Friday night of Memorial Day weekend, when a throng of
local and out-of-town guests was invited for an evening of
great food, drink and conversation at the annual opening.
Among those gathered with proprietor Elizabeth Hooper
(second from right) are (1. to r.) John Dickson, Helen Bieber,
and Father John Gains, rector of the new St. James Anglican
Parish, a traditional Episcopal Church using the 1928 Book of
Common Prayer. The Corner Cupboard, located at 50 Park
Avenue for 50 years, offers breakfast and dinner, as well as
Saturday and Sunday brunch, and is a bed & breakfast.

Vincent was the winner of the
Young Careerist Award.
"During the interview and dis-
cussion, we addressed teenage
pregnancy, sexual harassment and
equality in pay among other
things. I stressed early education,
even at the elementary level, con-
cerning teenage pregnancy and
sexual harassment. We should be
sensitive, yet make children aware
as early as possible of these issues
so that they are better able to han-
dle certain situations. I live in the
Lake Forest School District and I
also discussed how I would like to
be a member of the Board of Edu-
cation there, in order to act as a li-
aison between parents and teach-
ers," says Vincent.
"As more and more women are
moving up in the business world

they are paving the way for more
equality in pay. Organizations
such as the BPW are working hard
to make those women more com-
fortable," she adds.
"Not being a native of Harring-
ton, I was not familiar with the
women of the community but
through my membership in BPW I
have met the women of the com-

better place to live. On a personal
level, being a member of BPW
has offered a mentorship with
those influential women. Profes-

move along in my career. Also,
being familiar with the BPW plat-
