Mispillion Kennel Club to hold AKC aft-breed clog m:itch on Jun.q00 25 The Mispillion Kennel Club Inc., a member of the American Kennel Club, will hold an AKC sanctioned all-breed conformation and obedience match on Sunday, June 25, outdoors, rain or shine, at the Slaughter Beach Fire Compa- ny grounds, Slaughter Beach. A match show is to show dogs and their exhibitors what spring training is to baseball players - a chance to practice and warm up for the real thing. Many of the dogs entered are puppies just starting their show and obedience careers, some are older dogs who need a bit of pol- ish before going to the big time. Judges, all AKC-approved, will come from Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey to participate. Obedience judging begins at 9 a.m.; junior showmanship, for young people interested in han- dling dogs, is at 10:30 a.m.; and the regular conformation classes at 11 a.m. Concessionaires will also be on hand to sell all types of dog-relat- ed items. The ladies auxiliary will pro- vide food. Admission to the show is free. For more information about the match show or the Mispillion Kennel Club, call Sonia and Don Evans at 422-0313 or Barbara and Joe Campbell at 422-6971.
