Rehoboth Outlets rank
as top centers in nation
"Value Retail News," a publica-
tion of the International Council
of Shopping Centers and the
monthly specialty publication for
the Cutlet Center Industry, an-
nounced inits June 20o0]s'sue
that all three sites of Rehbbot
Outlets rank within the top outlet
centers in the United States.
In the most recent biannual sur=
vey conducted by the Outlet Re-
tall Merchants' Association (OR-
MA), Rehoboth Outlets 2, 1 and 3
ranked No. 5, 9 and 14 respective-
ly.
ORMA is composed of manu-
facturers that operate outlet stores
and other retailers that tenant out-
let center, with members asked to
report sales growth in general
terms.
In addition, according to "Value
Retail News," Rehoboth Outlets
ranked the ninth largest outlet
center in the United States based
on total square footage.
"We are very pleased to rank so
high On both lists, particularly on
the ORMA list, which is based on
the actual sales performance of
our stores," said Lana O'Hollaren,
Rehoboth Outlets marketing man-
ager.
"This is the first time all of our
sites have placed on this presti-
gious listing."

A Taste of Coastal Delaware
2000 will be from 1 to 4 p.m.,
Sunday, June 11, rain or shine, at
the entrance to Bethany Beach.
Coastal cuisine will be presented
by local restaurants and gourmet
shops via samplings and tastings.
Sharp water to perform free
residential water tests June 10
Free water testing will be pro-
vided by Sharp Water, which will
• join the first anniversary celebra-
tion at Sharp Energy's Ocean
Viewc?mmunity store, located at
35 Atlantic Avenue and Route 26,
from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday,
June 10.
A representative from Sharp
Water, sales coordinator Kay
Main, will be on hand from 10
a.m. to 1 p.m. to provide free wa-
ter testing.
To obtain a free water test, col-
lect six to eight ounces of tap.wa-
ter in a clean container and take it
to the Sharp Energy store on Sat-
urday. Main will conduct the test-
ing onsite and those participating
will receive immediate results.
Water will be tested for nitrates,
pH, TDS, iron and hardness. Main
will then make recommendations
on ways in which water contain-
ing any or all of the above can be
treated. A subsidiary of Chesa-
peake Utilities Corporation, Sharp
Water provides water condition-
ing equipment and services to res-
idential, commercial and industri-
al customers.
"We'll be offering an anniver-
sary special to those who visit the
Ocean View location on Satur-
day," Main said. "We'll be offer-
ing two months' free rental on a
water cooler and four bottles (20
gallons) of Sharp Water free of
charge."
Guests are also invited t0join
the staff for tours ofthe Sharp
Living Mobile Kiosk which will,
be on hand to celebrate the event.
The kiosk, a showroom
wheels, features four victims
cluding a living area, kitchen,
laundry area and patio. Free food
samples will be available during
grilling demonstrations.
Staff members Doug Homberg-
er and Melissa Coffey will also be
available along with Lyndon
Yearick, community store market-
ing manager, to discuss and
demonstrate how gas appliances
can enhance the quality of living.
"We're pleased to be able to in-
clude free water testing during our
anniversary at the Ocean View
store, said Yearick. "Water con-
sumption is typically higher dur-
ing hot, summer days, and this
service will assess the quality of
water coming from the tap."
Those visiting the store June 10
will receive a free gift. "We'll
have a live radio remote broadcast
with WGMD's Dan Gaffney from
11 a.m., to 1 p.m., so come out
and join us for free food, free wa-
ter testing, giveaways and special
incentives for new Sharp Energy
and Sharp Water customers,"
Yearick said.

The afternoon includes a Kids
Korner sponsored by South
Coastal Library and music by the
Medics, a local jazz group.
Tickets will be sold at the fol-
lowing locations: Bethany-Fen-
wick Chamber of Commerce,
South Coastal Library, DiFebo's,
Mango's, Sedona, The Parkway,
Nantucket's and Shark's Cove.
Tickets are $25 for adults and
$10 for kids 12 and under and are
limited.

Laurel couple receives
national honors
Mark Jacobs, president of
Watkins Inc., a 132-year-old di-
rect sales marketing company, has
recognized Frank and Carolyn
Calio of Laurel for their market-
ing accomplishments and market
share increase.
The Calios moved from third
position last month and are now
ranked second in the company as
bronze consultants, with a 251.1
percent increase in total downline
points. Since becoming Watkins
Associates, the Calios have never
finished less than fourth in their
category in the nine months they
have been with the company.
