The Rehoboth Art League will will learn how to create both real

Summer Art Starters, an introduc-

rials designed to encourage cre-
ativity. Experiences in painting,
collage and sculptural construc-
tions will be explored. The class
is $40 per week for members and
$50 for nonmembers. Classes
meet from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.,
Monday, Wednesday and Friday
in the Children's Studio. Sessions
begin the week June 19 and end
the week of Aug. 4.
Children ages 6 to 7 may sign
up for Young Artists Summer Stu-
dio, a class where materials of all
kinds will be explored. Students
experimenting painting, collage,
clay or mixed media projects. Dif-
• ferent projects will be explored
each week. This class costs $40
per week for members and $50
for nonmembers. Classes meet
from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Mon-
day, Wednesday and Friday, in the
Children's Studio. Sessions begin
the week of June 19 and end the
week of Aug. 4.
Summer Academy I is for kids
ages 8 to 10. These classes will
focus on drawing and painting. A
range of materials will be used,
including pencil, pastels, char-
coal, watercolor, ink and acrylic.
The class costs $40 per week and
$50 per week for nonmembers.
Classes meet from 9:30 to 11
a.m., Tuesday and Thursday in the
Children's studio. Classes start
the week of June 19 and end Aug.

Greene Graphics Studio to host
summer art classes for youth
Greene Graphics Photography
Studio and Art Gallery in Harbe-
son will host a diverse selection
of summer art classes for youth.
Classes and camps will include a
course on making your own wa-
tercolors; creating pinch pots;
photography; how to make your
drawings look three-dimensional;
sign language and more.
Owner/instructor Sarah Greene
has bachelor of fine arts from the
School of the Arts Institute in
Chicago, and has taught Kids
Kamp at Delaware Technical &
Community College for the past
three summers and is a big sister
volunteer with Big Brothers/Big
Sisters of Delaware.
Camps run for one week each,
with morning and afternoon ses-
sions of three hours. All day camp
is also offered.
The average cost, including
materials, is about $55 for each
camp.
Art classes will be held in the
gallery where campers age 6 to 12
will be surrounded by art work
created by regional artists, to help
inspire kids to create their own
original pieces.
An informational open house
will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Sat-
urday, June 17, at the gallery, lo-
cated on Route 5 in Harbeson.
