Brazilian artist debuts at Peninsula Gallery
Peninsula Gallery on Lewes Beach hosted an opening reception June 4 for its new exhibit,
"Summer Sun," featuring paintings by Raquel Taraborelli of Brazil. Taraborelli is known as
one of the finest impressionist painters of landscapes and gardens in her own country and
traveled from her home country for the occasion. Her one-woman show of 18 oil on canvas
paintings, many focusing on flowers and landscapes, will run through the month of June.

Milton library to
adjust summer hours
The Milton Public Library will
change its hours to improve ac-
cess and customer service. The
new hours will be from 10 a.m. to
8 p.m., Monday through Thurs-
day. Friday hours are from 1 to 5
p.m., and from I0 a.m. to 2 p.m.,
Saturday. For more information,

Auction, reception, to
benefit VSA Arts June 16
VSA Arts of Delaware will
host a Celebration of Creativity,
an annual art exhibition that hon-
ors the work of VSA artists, as
well as a benefit reception and
silent auction from 6 to 9 p.m.,
Friday, June 16, at Delaware
State University in Dover. Ad-
mission is $15 per person and
proceeds benefit VSA Arts.

'Grass Roots' book signing set June 16-17 in Lewes
Richard Harrison, author of "'Orass Roots," a novel set in the Cape
Region, will be autographing copies of his book from 5 to 7:30 p.m.,
Friday, June 16, and from noon to 5 p.m., Saturday, June 17, at the New
Devon Inn in Lewes.
Harrison's novel blends romance, politics and beach life in the Re-
hoboth Beach/Lewes areas. The book is available at Books By The Bay
in Lewes and Browseabout Books in Rehoboth Beach.
