" ... • :...;IIHWLKw ' • Lewes High School Class of 1947 holds 50th reumon 42 GREA' Homesites Available Members of the Lewes High School Class of 1947 gathered at Kupchick's Restaurant on Lewes Beach for their 50th Class Reunion on Saturday, July 26. Ten members of the class were unable to attend and eight are no longer alive. The rest enjoyed an evening of dinner and reminiscing together. Those attending are shown here and are (standing in back l-r) Jake Richards, Jack Abbott, Louise Wagamon Bunting, Robert Lockerman, Elva Marvel Short, Vir- ginia Russell Small, Park Perine (who flew in from California), and Dickie Brittingham. In front are Roland Bunting, Betty Jane Palmer Soots, Dolly White Lewis, Iris Conaway Thor- oughgood, Helen Marsh McAllister, Mickey Lawton Baker, Betty Lowe Frazer, Charlotte Reim Guy and Paynter Lynch. State issues most wanted volunteers list The Volunteer Link is a pro- gram of the State Office of Volun- teerism that matches volunteer skills to the needs of non-profit organizations in the community. To volunteer for these or other op- portunities, call 800-815-5465. Here's the "most wanted" list: • Make-A-Wish Foundation needs wish interviewers and granters to interview families and follow through until wish comple- tion. Times flexible. • Thresholds needs volunteers to teach responsible decision mak- ing and problem solving skills to prison inmates: evenings and weekends. • Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) needs volunteer respite friendly visitors to provide com- panionship to homebound older adults: times flexible. • People's Place II in Milford has a variety of opportunities available, including mentors, life skills advisors, drivers and family visitation center workers. • Sussex Crisis Pregnancy Care Center needs volunteers to assist with office work, help with the HelpLine, counselors and a librar- ian.
