The New Devon Inn, which will
now be called Zwaanend#el Inn,
was purchased by longtine Re-
hoboth resident, Michael!Cryne.
Cryne plans to turn the Zwaanen-
dael Inn into a more upscale small
hotel in the tradition of sn all Eu-
ropean hotels that stress gracious
service and refined amenit es.
"The inn was for sale fi r three
years," said Cryne. "I lool :ed at it
before but began looking a: it seri-
ously in April. I came in, and the
time was right. This was a great
opportunity. The location s great.
Lewes was half the selling )oint, a
nicer not as commercialized ver-
sion of Cape May. We closed on
the inn Monday, July 10, 2000."

Zwaanendael is Dutch for Valley

Inn was built in 1926, and has op-
erated as a hotel or rooming house
under several different owners. "I
would like to go for that 1920s -
