CAPE GAZETTE, Friday, Nov. 16 - Nov. 22, 2001 - 75 Greater MiUsboro Chamber seeks Christmas parade entries The Greater Millsboro Cham- ber of Commerce is seeking en- tries for its Christmas Visions 2001 Parade, and veqdors for its Santa s Pak Shopping Spree. Both events will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1. The line up for the Christmas Visions 2001 Parade begins at 8 a.m. at Allfirst Financial Center on Mitchell Street. The start time is 10 a.m. The rain date for the pa- rade is Sunday, Dec. 2, with as- sembly at 11 a.m. The parade offers trophies in 14 competitive categories. The Shamrock Judges, a professional team-from New Castle County, will judge all entries. Entry is free, but the absolute registration deadline is Monday, Nov. 26. As a public service, the Cham- ber has joined forces with Bishop James C. Burke Council 1.1285 Knights of Columbus to support the Feed-A-Friend food drive sponsored by CAT Country radio. All parade participants, Santa's Pak vendors and visitors are en- couraged to make nonperishable food donations, which will be col- lected at Allfirst, at the Millsboro Civic Center and at the parade re- viewing stand on Main Street. All donations will be distributed lo- cally to food banks operated by the Dagsboro Church of God, Millsboro Seventh Day Adventist Church and Casa San Francisco in Milton, The Knights, from St. Michael's Church in Georgetown and Mary, Mother of Peace Church in Oak Orchard, also will serve hot beverages and breakfast sandwiches during the parade line Millsboro holiday decorating contest slated Residents and business owners in the greater Millsboro and Dagsboro areas have until noon on Friday, Dec. 7, to enter the hol- iday decorating contest cospon- sored by the Greater Millsboro Chamber of Commerce and Long Neck Business Association. within the 19939 and 19966 ZIP codes.
