Reh0both Christmas Parade slated for Dec. 8
The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer
Fire Company officers and mem-
bers have announced that this
year's Hometown Christmas Pa-
rade will be held at 6 p.m., Satur-
day; Dec. 8.
A Welcome Santa Christmas
party will be held at the Rghoboth
Beach Convention Center after
the parade. Refreshments, includ-
ing hot chocolate and cookies,
will be served, and parade prizes
will be awarded. Children will
.have the opportunity to express
their Christmas wishes to Santa
Claus. Previous parade partici-
pants will receive an entry form in
October which should be returned
immediately. Anyone else who
wishes to participate should call
the Rehoboth Beach Fire Compa-
ny voice mail at 227-8950, Ext. 6.
All calls will be returned.
Anyone wishing to sponsor a
trophy or make a donation to this
event should call the voice mail
number.

Possums announce cast for
upcoming Christmas musical
PossumPoint Players, the area's
oldest community theater, recent-
ly announced the cast for- its up-
coming holiday musical, "Four
Tickets to Christmas." Judy Dean t
president of Possum Point Play-
ers, said, "We are all pleased that
so many talented members of our
community will be participating
in our holiday show. Thanks todi-
rector Suzette Riggin of Lewes,--
this show promises to be upbeat,
happy and full of the holiday spir-
it."
Rehearsals area joy and the cast
is pure heaven." Riggin said. "Jim
Hartzell has been my directing
coach and a terrific help. The mu-
sic is absolutely fantastic and the
choral numbers make my hair
stand on end. I have only eight,
men in the show but they sound
like 20 - some very powerful voic-
es." The cast includes Maryin,

Dover Symphony offers
youth concert Nov. 18
The Dover Symphony Orches-
tra, under the direction of Donald
Buxton, will perform its Young
People's Concert at 4 p.m., Sun-
day, Nov. 18 at the Schwartz Cen-
ter for the Arts in Dover. A pro-
gram of light classical music, in-
eluding "Carmen Suite" will be
performed. Tickets, $15 for adults
and $10 for seniors and students,

Georgetown Christmas Parade slated for Dec. 6
The Greater Georgetown
Chamber of Commerce will host
its annual Christmas parade at 7
p.m., Thursday, Dec. 6, on the cir-
cle in Georgetown.
" This year's theme is An Ameri-
can Christmas and will feature
top area bands including the Sus-
sex Central High School Band,
Indian River High School Band,
North Dorchester High School
Band and Milford High School
Band.
Kids will have the opportunity
to meet Santa Claus immediately
following the parade.
Entry-forms are available until
Nov. 30 for organizations and
groups who would like to partici-
pate in the parade.
