Epworth sponsors Dec. 7 parents' night out Epworth United Methodist Church in Rehoboth Beach will hold a parents' night out for children from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 7. The program will give mum and dad a much-needed night off while knowing that their children are in a safe and supervised environment• The program is for kids ages l to 12. Children will enjoy pizza, crafts, games, movies and storytelling. The cost is $3 per child. Registration by Dec. 5 is necessary by calling 227-7743. St. John's Baptist announces upcoming events St. John's 2nd Baptist Church in Millsboro will hold a variety dinner from 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 7. Carry outs are available. A Joy Night, sponsored by the church's youth, will be held at 8 p.m., Friday, Dec. 14. On Tuesday, Dec. 18, a Jesus Birthday Celebration program will begin with a dinner from 5 to 6:45 p.m. The program gets underway at 7 p.m. Seaside Hanukkah party set for Dec. 9 A Seaside Hanukkah party will be held at I p.m., Sunday, Dec. 9, at Ocean Wave Lodge. All are invited to savor Bubbe's latkes and louk- oumades among Seaside friends at their new home, Ocean Wave Lodge. An all-ages improvisational play celebrates the story of Hanukkah and all are welcome to join in the fun with Hanukkah karaoke. Kids will enjoy crafts and driedle. Conley's Church offers holiday programs Conley's United Methodist Church choir will present a Christmas Cantata at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 15. Actors in full costume will de- pict the Nativity during the musical production. Admission is free. Also, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 21- 23, the church will sponsor a living Nativity featuring 40 actors. Lumi- nary lights, music and scripture will guide those in attendance through Bethlehem with live animals, actors, real life scenery and period cos- tuming. Admission and parking are free. Oak Orchard church announces events The Community Church of Oak Orchard will host several events in December, beginning Dec. l when members of its youth group will march in the Millsboro Parade. The church will hold a prayer vigil on Dec. 8, with the sanctuary open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. A holiday craft and bake sale is set for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., Dec. 15, with homemade crafts and baked items for sale. Also on Dec. 15, at 6:30 p.m., the youth min- istries from the Community Church of Oak Orchard and East Gate Pres- byterian Church will team up to present a play, "It All Happened in the Country." Those unable to make this performance can catch the produc- tion at 6:30 p.m., Dec. 14, at East Gate Presbyterian.
